Day 9
It's the end of Day 9, and today when I met with my accountability partner for a chat we officially made it into a sponsor relationship. I've also committed to go with my sponsor to my first AA meeting this week, either tomorrow or Thursday / Friday depending on how I can arrange my work schedule. I can hardly believe this is actually happening, and the AV is trying all kinds of tricks to make me think I'm special or different and about all the things I'm going to miss out on if I really commit to sobriety. I have a strange feeling of excitement about the possibilities....this is for real, and I've got someone beside me helping me move forward.

Hope you enjoy your meeting.
I understand the excitement you feel. I get that most days now.
You are certainly in for the ride of your life having chosen sobriety.
It is an incredible and wonderful journey, bit of a rollercoaster to start with, but the best thing that I ever committed to. Ever.
And no more of that terrible aloneness as we start to take our rightful place in our lives.
Be safe and resolute and know that thousands upon thousands walk with you.
