Hey guys/gals,
Feeling like I have both feet firmly planted in my new recovery. Went to a mens AA meeting this AM and found 5-6 super-sober bikers that I can go riding with now. A small piece of the recovery plan - but another solution to one of many thoughts/worries about how was I going to live now.....who could I hang out with, or more importantly who can I NOT hang out with.
Y-day's molar extraction site has calmed down enough that am on zero pain meds today - yea !! Going to another mens meeting tonight. I remain incredibly amazed, and grateful still that I made it back 16 days ago, as I know well from a prior stint at sobriety that people like me don't often get these 2nd chances. TNo doubt some divine works. Thanks for listening - again. Peace-out, MJM

I have met so many people in AA wish I had found it years ago, I might not have become an alcoholic with alcoholism!!! Of course then they would have thrown me out....

you are putting in the effort my friend and the rewards will come. glad your having a good positive experience. one day you might be able to tell others just what it is you did in these early days to stay sober and like me i know just how much of a role the meetings gave me and the hope they gave me so i kept coming back as i wanted more and more
