Detoxing for the last time.
Detoxing for the last time.
Well it looks like I did it again. I'm so upset with myself, I didn't even want to drink yesterday. There I was in the middle of the wine aisle with two bottles of wine in my cart. Now I'm nauseous, high anxiety and have small trimmers. I hate myself for giving in I know better than to buy two bottles but I did it anyways. I have to stop lying to myself and just step up and say I'm an alcoholic. I can't drink responsibly. That used to be hard for me to except that I can never drink again but now know that it is the only way to get my life back.
So here it goes...I'm an alcoholic and you won't be finding an alcoholic drink in my hand ever again.

Hi.
The expression is “keep coming” to “remember When.”
“For ever” is an extremely long time period to try to handle, many try one day at a time, IN A ROW.
At this point trying to get sober I needed to know the how too not drink.
BE WELL

TXS, I was somewhat in same shoes 2 weeks ago. Had been trying to drink red wine "normally" for 9 years. Had 13 years in AA prior to that. After trying 867 different ways to control my alcohol consumption - I finally had enough. I give up. No more. One day at a time now I am trying to remain very teachable to those I'm gathering around me - here, at AA meetings, a Facebook sober buddy, etc. Good Luck my friend. Peace-out, MJM
