Day 8 or week 1
Hello,
Well, it's Sunday Morning and I'm happy to say I didn't drink Friday or Saturday. As some of you know I am a weekend binge drinker. So, for me to say I'm on Day 8 would be a bit cheap of me and an insult to those heavier drinkers that reach 8 days. So, I'll call this week 1. It's very strange though very refreshing not waking up with a hangover today. It's a miserable day, so, movies with the missus today I think.
As far as cravings went, surprisingly on Friday after work I had none, but Saturday morning they were there. Somewhat strong, but I distracted myself by going for a long drive with my old man.
Hopefully I can keep this up or at least do it more often. I feely oddly fantastic.
Thanks,
Zelt.

Hey Zelt, nice job! Way to stay strong.
The cravings will get better as you get use to a booze-free life.
I hope you can too, and I wish you well with your continued progress.

Hey Zelt, congrats man. I too was a binge drinker and can certainly relate to your comments. Day 15 for me, and am looking forward to a lot more "oldly fantastic" feelin-good weekend mornings !!! one day at a time. Way to go ! BR, MJM
Hi Zelt!
I can totally relate to the wonderful feelings of waking up not hungover on a Saturday. Isn't it great?
Your post reminded me of something I read on here a few years ago. Someone wrote that they saw trading "fun nights" for good mornings. They thought of it as trading a buzzed night for a happy healthy morning. Or another way to look at it is that the night times might be difficult but the mornings are great. I think that makes sense!
I stopped drinking because I could no longer handle the hangovers. Here's to a hangover-free Sunday!
