Just go Roxy, AA meetings are all different. If you don't care for it, try another until you find the right one. It's a step in the right direction and it sounds like your husband would agree.

You can pm me if you want. I'm an alcoholic and mother of two boys ages 7 and 4. I have 5 and a half months sober and didn't think I could it. Aa meetings are very powerful. Completely changed my life in every way. It's so maxing to not have the guilt of always Doing a half ass job

Houstons a big place.

I'm sure you'll find that most of the meetings are actually filled with people just like you - maybe a womens meeting would be a good fit but really...any would do to start the ball rolling yeah ?

Welcome to SR Roxy

Welcome, Roxy

Yep, time to do something hun. You posted here, that's a good start, huh ?

Sounds like your hubby approves of the AA meets, that's good. He would probably approve of rehab too.

Go with an open mind, and leave your pride at the door.

Are you drinking today ?

You ll find lots of support here, keep posting.

Here's a link to find other meetings. Home

I would call and speak to someone at the number given in the link if you have questions about the local meetings.

Go to an AA meeting Roxy. It's a one hour investment that may pay huge dividends, definitely worth giving it a try.
