Just go Roxy, AA meetings are all different. If you don't care for it, try another until you find the right one. It's a step in the right direction and it sounds like your husband would agree.

You can pm me if you want. I'm an alcoholic and mother of two boys ages 7 and 4. I have 5 and a half months sober and didn't think I could it. Aa meetings are very powerful. Completely changed my life in every way. It's so maxing to not have the guilt of always Doing a half ass job

I'm sure you'll find that most of the meetings are actually filled with people just like you - maybe a womens meeting would be a good fit but really...any would do to start the ball rolling yeah ?

Sounds like your hubby approves of the AA meets, that's good. He would probably approve of rehab too.

Go to an AA meeting Roxy. It's a one hour investment that may pay huge dividends, definitely worth giving it a try.
