understanding

I learned today that someone I work for passed away. I had know them for 12 years. I was very upset by this news. I knew he had been sick this last couple months, he had battled stage 2 throat cancer and also stage 1 prostate. Later in the day I learned that he had chosen to end his own life. He was apparently extremely sick - I suspect cancer again. I do not want to be intrusive and ask too many questions - too fresh. I just keep asking myself why? I know he must've been in so much pain, but why? :react:react

versa, I've been rocked by several suicides of people I've known over the years, and struggled to understand why, especially with the young people, but I can see a difference where a person who has a terminal condition might want to choose their time of departure.

Are you struggling with the fact he got sick, or that he ended his life by his own choice?

I am so sorry.

I believe that the question "Why?" can only be answered when the time comes for you to meet with him in heaven :)

I am also sorry for your loss. There are no easy answers to why someone takes their own life. :(
