a new life
a new life
Hello people!
I am 23 years old and will be graduating college in December of this year with a 4-year degree in Criminal Justice & Sociology. I am currently 150 days clean from my psychological marijuana addiction and I have never felt better! I started smoking pot when I was 17 years old but it was very seldom until the age of 19. After age 19 I began smoking heavily, every other day, and even right after I would wake up in the morning to start my day. I thought it was helping me cope with the struggles of my childhood and the economical situation my family was enduring along with my mother who is an addict herself. I come from a divorced family with history of drug abuse and domestic violence, but I am determined to steer clear of both of those things. I am currently thinking of giving up drinking as well, even though it is not a problem for me, I believe a sober and clean life is the best way to avoid becoming an alcoholic since my family has a history of it.
Thank you for listening!

Hey mrownage-Welcome! Nice job on the 150 days clean!!!
If you in fact decide to stop drinking and find it to be difficult, than you already know a great place for support, which is here.
Hope to see you around.

Welcome aboard mrownage
Congrats on your 150 days
sounds eminently sensible to me...I didn't have a problem with drinking...until I did...y'know?
