Actually Soberwolf posted a link to an old thread you started about dealing with cravings Dee
I bookmarked it. It helped me all through the day.

In a more relaxed moment, look into 'sitting with your breath'. It only takes a few minutes to learn about, but it can give you that 'break' that your AV thinks you need. It only takes a few minutes to do too, and you can do it anywhere, any time. It is refreshing and relaxing, like taking a little vacation.

This is what we are craving when we are craving a drink, a sense of peace and contentment. The paradox is that alcohol takes these things from us instead and replaces them with anxiety and worry and self-loathing.

This might be helpful, it certainly helps me. Worth a try.

Addictive Voice. Basically the inner voice that tries to get you to go back to drinking or getting high.

Awesome Patricia. A nice bath usually helps me a lot too. I'm glad you got through that.

When my Addictive voice starts talking to me and telling me I deserve one day off from sobriety I remember one thing. I refuse to ever have a hangover again. EVER. Drinking for me means that weeklong hangover so I just can't do it. I just can't. And I won't!
