Sorry

Hey guys... I feel badly for the posting yesterday. It was kind of "lame" as the kids say. It really was not about my friend, but rather about the enormous amount of stress I am currently under. It was easier to write about a non-issue than about my true problems.

I have had two cancer scares this year - lung and breast. Luckily after numerous tests, I was cleared. However, now I face yet another cancer scare. As you know, I have the "glow in the dark" test last week and that was to measure gastric emptying. Well, that came back normal. But, I had an endoscopy this morning and they found stomach polyps. They biopsied them and I have to wait a week for the results. Stomach polyps are only found in 1% of the population, so it is rare.

These medical tests (scares) are very taxing. I am trying to stay positive and not chase ghosts, but with each one, it gets a bit harder.

I am also facing financial problems and may have to file for bankruptcy. Another stressor.

So these are the real issues...not a minor issue with a friend. And the posting kind of blew up. Thank you all for your continued support.

ArtFriend - no need to be sorry at all; that's what SR is all about - to support, encourage, understand, provide perspective, challenge, etc.

Sorry that you have to wait yet another week for test results; I struggle with patience and know how hard a wait can be.

Hugs, ArtFriend.

Hopefully, everything will come back OK from the medical professionals.

I know about financial struggles all too well. I had to file bankruptcy last year. Sometimes you need the fresh start even if your credit takes a hit.

Keep your head up, we are here for you.

Sorry to hear about these troubles. I hope your health turns out to be OK again. It's good you are getting checked out so thoroughly. Here for support when you need it.
And no apologies necessary. Stress manifests in different ways.
Hang in there, friend!

ArtFriend, I know how taxing and unnerving it can be to have to sit and wait and wait to get test results and to spend a lot of time dealing with drs appointments. I hope this latest stomach problem turns out to be a non-issue, too.

Thanks everyone for the good will and good vibes. Of course I have been consulting Dr. Google since I came home. He needs to work on his "screen side manner" lol

Hi ArtFriend.
Sending good vibes your way. No apology necessary. I've gotten some of my best insight on here when I've done the very same thing.

As a fellow former patient of Dr Google, I've found that while yes, it true, Dr Google is a poor excuse for medical care but in my googling I also found an article that said there is just as much positive about things being googled about as there are negative but for some reason when Dr Google patients go Googling, we have a tendency to only see the negative ones. True story. I googled it. I did the very same thing. Had polyps, week wait, too much time on my hands. I would have been better off just shopping on Amazon with my internet time.

So I think if we just can't stay off old Dr Google we make a pack to focus on all the positive things we are googling about. Or stay off it.

I hope everything comes back just fine like the other ones.
