Day 3 and tired. Normal? 3rd day of sobriety and I am very tired. Is this normal? Also went to a marriage counselor today and she told me and my wife we could die going cold turkey and went as far as suggesting we have a little bit to drink. Not going to do it. |
Good job on day 3!!:dance4: Have you gotten a check up with your doctor? Maybe you should consider that if the counselor stated it could be dangerous for you to go cold turkey. Keep doing what you're doing, your body is adjusting & will need time to heal. |
Well done on day 3 and yes its very normal to be tired book a doc apt for all medical enquiries |
Years of drinking got us here, it's going to take more than a few days for the body to adjust and heal!! Hang in there, things will get better with time!! :) |
you will feel different for a time after quitting alcohol, as for going cold turkey - the counselor is right. talk to a doctor or at least have an ER number handy. |
Yes being tired was the norm for me. Day 7 mood swings started. Now on day 13 i am evening out. Good luck and go see your doctor :) |
Fatigue is common in early recovery. Give yourself time to heal more fully. And if you have problems with the withdrawal, please get medical help. |
I'm glad that people are confirming that feeling sluggish is a side effect so to speak. I have noticed sluggishness in myself & thought that maybe I was PMSing. :18: |
