Looking at the Mirror
I wouldn't say that, I just now saw the thread I couldn't bear to look in the mirror when I was using. Nowadays, I can see a little bit of my previous rough life in the aging process, but I notice my sparkling eyes and smile a lot more.
As someone who stood in my own way, many a time, I'm grateful for recovery and all here who helped me attain it.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

So true SW - I have heard old timer at meeting say many times - no one makes us happy, glad, sad, mad, angry etc.....WE choose that state of being. I subscribe to that as well.
off key - I post some things by my mirror, as I am sure others do. Recently I put up a note that reads:
IT'S NOT THEM IT'S ME!!!
....that needs to change.....
thanks pal,
fly

On great days I see someone who does right. Kids and wife smiling. On bad days I can't stand to look at myself. As a matter of fact I shave In the shower so I don't have to look at "me". I'm glad those bad days are getting less and less.
