Not sure where to post this question about relapse. People who have experienced a relapse after a long period of sobriety - was it all of a sudden? Or did you start to feel a certain way mentally leading up to your relapse?

I threw away twenty years sobriety when I started drinking in 2007 to "calm my nerves" before the kids got home from high school. Within six months I was drinking all day, every day.

I don't know if anything led up to my relapse. I just know it was harder to quit drinking this time around.
