I love not drinking

Halloween, especially a Friday night one would typically have been a great drinkin night. For many, I'm sure it was. I however am happy to wake up 34 days sober with no hangover....unlike my wife. She didn't drink much, but did so on an empty stomach. Got sick last night and again this morning. She is hurting this morning, Says she is on the wagon with me. We had another couple over and their two kids too. Around 9 pm I volunteered to go grab a couple pizzas for the kids...and us! Lots of foot traffic and trick or treaters. So glad I was sober to be able to take care of even something so simple. I hope everyone is feeling good this morning!

It's great how the little things become much more meaningful.

Yup, I got off work, hit the gym and came home to watch Holloween movies last night. I'd have loved to gone trick or treating with my niece, but it was late, dark and cold when I got home. Feeling good today.

Way to go you know what I appreciated last night? Being 100% in the moment. From getting dressed up, to heading to my brothers for our traditional dinner with our kids and sig oths, and our parents and not having one second of crazy thoughts " when can I get a drink...who is pouring the wine...did I pack enough?...hurry and get the kids dressed so I can pour a HUGE travel mug to get me through the walk...hurry and lets get home cause my traveler is empty...who is driving?....
What an awesome feeling having none of those, nor any cravings.

Too bad about your wife, poor thing, but that does serve as a reminder to the rest of us. Great job staying sober!
