No Temptation to drink

This evening is Friday night and this usually involves getting pretty drunk and staying up until 3am so I can find some goods hours drinking away.

Saturday mornings usually mean that I am nursing a pretty severe hangover and retching into the toilet.

Saturday nights mean drinking while watching the X-Factor and drinking so much that Sundays are a day for recovery before the 5pm pick me up session.

However this week, I am really looking forward to waking up and doing things.

I went to a local supermarket this afternoon and found myself in the drinks aisle, I went past all of the Stella Artois and Red Wines, etc and I can assure you, I had no temptation to drink.

Its like I reached my life long limit of drinking, that when I look at it now I just see a pathetic little man sat in his armchair drinking himself into a stupor, convincing himself that everyone is doing exactly the same as him.

I just do not need alcohol anymore. I am free to do whatever I so desire on Weekends and have the money to afford to do it properly too.

No amount of AV or conscience is going to make me drink again.

Yes, finally coming to that place in time where we have made a firm decision not to drink again is a true blessing. Haven't had an urge in 7 years and don't think that I ever will again.

No longer a trill I have had my fill.

good job...i just got back from the grocery store, cleaned my house and put up my christmas tree (yes, I know today is halloween) in my drinking days, even this early in the evening, some form of havoc would have already started going down. again, good job

I've been experiencing the exact same things. Feels weird but great - oddly exhilarating.
