I think the nicotine has finally cleared my body. All I can say is I feel like I may live after all.

I think I am going to make it

Awesome. Keep going. The train to "normal" starts to speed up.

I was pretty sure you'd live. I may quit vaping someday but I'll probably just end up sucking my thumb.

Maybe I should say I want to live because the withdrawal was very hard. Well another day. I am fighting the psychological addiction now

Personally, I found quitting smoking harder than sobriety. I quit smoking in 2000 (sober). Then if I can do it, anybody can do it. Good luck!

Keep thinking about those positives, no more money wasted, better health, no smoke stink all over you and your clothes, more productive, it's a really long list!

Oh, I NEED this thread! I quit smoking in 1999, cold turkey, and hadn't thought about it in years. I quit drinking a year ago and picked up cigarettes again in July after my mom almost died. Been trying to quit again the whole time - went five days once and 10 days another time but picked them up again. I find the psychological much harder than the physical, especially after I read that the nicotine leaves your body really fast. I am going to try again tomorrow and I need your support!!

Thank you for this thread!

You're doing great MIR ! You are accomplishing your goal.

Thank you for posting your progress to being nicotine free. Its really inspired me to chuck the crutch of keeping gum around for those "just in case" moments.

Just in case of what? I finally had to ask myself....

I can only speak for myself but like alcohol there was no such thing as controlling my addiction. Although I did taper using patches there has to be a day when I was nicotine free and will be forever

Hey, that's awesome. There will be a day the thought of a cigarette will make you feel sick. Keep it going.

That day has not come. Nicotine in any form sounds pretty darn good. At least my AV seems to think so

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound easy. I'm glad you're doing well.
