I no longer have to wonder: who at work can tell I'm hungover?

That I can be there for my family.
Doesn't matter if I'm tired, or a little distracted...I am THERE. ♥

That I am up at 4:30 am working, feeling rested and creative. If drinking, I would be exhausted and brain dead.

That my kids can count on me to be up in the mornings, making their breakfasts, packing their lunches, and starting their day off right...not struggling to get myself out of bed, cranky as I rush around trying to get everything done while feeling sick. I don't know how I did that for so long...hangover free mornings are a definite favorite for me!

Having a family on the mend. My wife quit shortly after I and we are our best support. We mused nervously this morning of some of the stuff we both did drunk we would never do sober. It's good to keep the memory somewhat fresh. We are committed to making this a better home for our 3 daughters.

Waiting for my brand new fridge freezer to arrive. Bought with money I would have spent on drink and weed, oh yeah

I began taking 'selfies' from day 2 (I read somewhere on here that someone did that). Anyway, the difference in my appearance from day 2 to now is unbelievable. The puffy shame face is gone. Day 11.

I am thankful that I was sober tonight. I will wake up with my clothes ironed, shoes set out, car keys on the hook by the door, and coffee ready to go.

None of these would have happened if I were still drinking!

Interest in the big wide world around me. Not just focusing on alcohol.

Going to bed too late again BUT will once again feel just fine after some serious yawning and coffee. So thankful to not wake up sick or with regrets.
