I'm winning

Hey everyone -
Today is Day 8. Yesterday I worked 14 hours and was exhausted when I got home. I thought about how great an ice cold beer would taste. But then I thought, "Dumbass, you cant have one. You'll have 12". And the craving went away. I don't want to blow it this time. I've been sleeping great and waking up happy and alert. Most of the anxiety in my life was caused by drinking.
I have a Halloween party to go to on Friday. Everyone will be drinking. And that's fine. I won't.

I hope all my fellow October newbies are hanging in there and finding peace.

Congratulations on sobriety. I recently had to leave my uncle's wake after 15 minutes. I thought I would be fine. It immediately turned into heavy drinking.
Just be aware and ready to leave if you have to
