Day 10

Here we go, uplift #2. Feeling GREAT again today. I'm not a spiritual person by any means, but I feel as though I am already transitioning into the person I always longed to be. My hands are NOT SHAKING AT ALL. All these years, I thought there was something wrong with me, Dad was always concerned. Turns out it was the alcohol all along that gave me the shakes.

Going to ride this high today and make the best of it ! I'm feeling motivated to set a couple small goals for next one. I will either go to one yoga or one spin class next week.

Why did it take me this long to make this decision to quit ? The fear is slowly going away (though it is still there I know).

I wish I could share this feeling I have right now to anybody out there feeling a little down on themselves today.

Thanks so much SR !!

Write a note to yourself about how good you feel, then pull it out when you are feeling miserable. Because you probably will. Early recovery is roller coaster of emotions.

Yes well done on ten days. You say you're not a spiritual person at all but now may be a good time to consider what spirtuality might mean for your life in the future.

Day-10, nice job!
My hands are NOT SHAKING AT ALL
For me, the shaking was the most embarrassing and uncomfortable part of being a drunk. I suffered from it pretty bad, and simple things such as signing my name on a credit card receipt was embarrassing. I suspected it was due to the booze, but part of me wanted to think it was genetics of some type, as I did not want to admit how bad off I was.

Mine left within two weeks as well. (After some horrible shakes during the first week) Just another positive of not drinking.

I was in the exact same boat. 12 years of almost "hoping" there was something genetically wrong with me. Surely it wasn't the booze.... Surely it was ! So happy to be free of them. It's still strange I keep holding my hand out and looking at it in amazement. I can still see a small tremor, but NOTHING compared to before.

Thanks !

Well done on the 10 days. I know I've felt a bit of a *YES! I can do this! When I've gotten to the double digit marker before.*

Keep going! It gets better day by day.

Message is clear. Just don't drink TODAY!

Yay! Congratulations. There will be lots of up days now and a few down.

Keep it going no matter what life throws your way. Nothing is ever made better by drinking.
