3 months today since she has passed

My daughter is gone and God I miss her. Sober but so tired of feeling so bad. I do not even remember what feeling good is like.

Looking for a fix that doesn't exist

Gilmer 10-24-2014 04:04 AM

I'm sorry, MIRecovery. I wish there was something I could say.

 Having just lost my mother, I understand your feelings. There's a feeling of emptiness. A big hole in your heart. :(

I see a counselor and it helps. Can you get some counseling to help you thru this?

anattaboy 10-24-2014 05:05 AM

I too have known loss and for me the grief has lessened with time and been replaced with heart felt memories and love. Take care of yourself.

Inchworm 10-24-2014 05:53 AM

Hugging you, MIR. Hugging you more, dear.

Eauchiche 10-24-2014 05:53 AM

Dear MIRecovery
You are sober and helping many others to achieve/maintain their sobriety.
I am sure your daughter is in a safe place now, with God. I'll bet she would want you to continue as you are, helping others.

" And so beside the tideless sea, I await the muffled oar.
No harm can come from Him to me, on ocean or on shore.

I know not where his islands lift their fronded palms in air.
I only know I cannot drift beyond His love and care."

Thank you all for the kind words.

Sometimes the grief just washes over you and you feel like you are drowning but it passes and life goes on

VikingGF 10-24-2014 06:52 AM

Sorry, MI. I hope in time the good memories will give you comfort.

Bailey3 10-24-2014 07:07 AM
