Day 2 again!

Well I drank on Monday night and really regret it. I had a bit of a situation with my ex upsetting the children and was really stressed out. It was a test and I failed! I bitterly regret reaching for the bottle and now need to work on dealing with situations like that in a different way. Onwards and upwards.....

Sounds like you've learned from your mistakes. Don't beat your self up for it...All that you can do now is move forward. Good luck you can do this.

I know. I think the main thing I learned from it was that it didn't make anything better. In fact it made it worse!

Yeap, for me alcohol rarely fixed much, it just made things worse with the bonus prize of a hangover added in for good measure.

You can do this!!

I had that kind of feeling many times; even after going to a lot of AA meetings and working with an addiction specialist I drank again.

Posting here about my ups and downs helped a lot. People were very understanding and supportive.

I found I went very far off the rails very quickly if I didn't reach out to people and let them help and support me, though. Please use whatever resources you can to stay sober with the help of other recovering people and your friends.
