I *try* to follow the Dalai Lama on this one
Dalai Lama: We have a saying in Tibet: If a problem can be solved there is no use worrying about it. If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.
Maybe some of our religious members can help me out here, I remember a bible quote I once saw. Loosely, it read "have any one of you gained even a single hour by worrying?". Simply put, worrying will do nothing to change the outcome of anything. Taken further, only solid action will.
I find myself engaging in excessive worry too from time to time. I use mindfulness techniques to recognize it and just say to myself: "there goes those silly thoughts again. I don't have time for this crap. What should I have for dinner?"
