First Night Alone

Today is sober day 25 for me and my first night to be by myself. My wife is at a wedding out of town. I work until 9:00 so I know as the afternoon goes on I will be itching more and more to have a drink, which I'm sure would turn into an entire bottle. Lately, knowing my wife will be home when I get home from work has really been helping me maintain my sobriety. The old drunk me would have taken this opportunity to go all out crazy. My goal tonight is to relax and enjoy knowing I'm going to wake up sober tomorrow morning.

Can you maybe get to a meeting after work? For me, thinking "I can get away with it and no one will know" has always been a HUGE trigger....

Can't hurt!

26 days sober. Only16 more days until I start my new record streak at 42. After that I want EVERY day to be a new personal best!

Congratulations so far Zack. Plan something to divert yourself tonight, like some ice-cream or whatever you enjoy.

You did it! How did you occupy yourself? Did you have an enjoyable evening? I'm only on Day 10, but my husband is going away for two nights in three weeks' time, and it's already making me anxious when I think about it! Being alone in the house is a HUGE trigger for me and always has been. I'd love to know what you got up to
