Accidentally drank, this doesn't count, right?

So tonight I was over at a friends, he had a punchbowl. As I know he's a teetotaller I pretty much just assumed it had no alcohol, took a sip, noticed the alcohol and asked him. He apolagised and said that punchbowl was for the drinkers, and there's another non alcoholic one in the other room.
This doesn't count as a relapse right?

It's what you think that counts Thomas
For me, there needs to be intent for relapse to occur.
You had no intent and, assuming you didn't finish the glass or go back for more, you're good
Always good to ask before you drink tho - seriously - it's a good rule of thumb

Well I did need to test it so I gave it another 8 glasses.... just kidding, of course.
I backed away from that glass like I'd just seen a tarantula crawl out of it.
The other fruit punch was lovely though.

Dee's already laid it out mate.
I had a big shot of cough medicine (I had a cough) last week, swallowed it & went .... DOH !!!
Totally forgot that most of em have alcohol in them.
Lesson learnt ... check the label next time.

It was a good night, other than that slight hiccup. He's the friend with the kidney issue, it's basically a non problem assuming he looks after himself. He's one of the few guys i've opened up to about my problem, and he was saying how his family has a history of alcoholics and knowing from a young age drinking would pretty much kill him, he never touched a drop and that probably saved him from that life.
Funny how fate sometimes works that way.
