What the heck is it about Texas, anyway?

Just got through saying hello to yet another neighbor here in my home town of Houston. I have the impression that Texans make up a fair proportion and maybe even a plurailty of the SR regulars. Am I right about that? How many of you good people are Texans, and what the heck is it about Texas anyway?

Just wondering. Somebody please set me straight if I've just gone insane.

Joe

Where are you from? I grew up in Houston by Almeda mall.
The only way I could think of getting farther from Houston is to stand on my chair here.

Birddog - I'm from the west side of Houston. Grew up a stone's throw from the intersection of Gessner and Memorial Dr., but I now live in the Heights area (north of 1-10, inside the loop).

Hey Brookie, I grew up hanging around with Carla Griffith, aka Carla Fay Tucker.
Know who she was?

Howdy, Brookie!! I too am a regular here on SR as well as a native Texan that was born and bred here in Lubbock, Texas which is where I still reside!! Always been here except for a few months in Colorado and eight years in Washington State when I was "married" but anyways Lubbock has great recovery so if can come on up and check it out for yourself!! Love ya, Love, your fellow Texan, Samantha
