I've had a pink cloud for close to 8 years. Even when life has been horrible, I've never been anything but thrilled that I'm no longer locked in addiction. AVRT calls the feeling you are describing as the ACE (Abstinence Commitment Effect). Whatever you want to call it, changing your life is powerful and exciting. The joy of living free from addiction never needs to end.
I had some really diverse experiences in the first six months- after that it was more even. I am now in my third year and i still grt perids that are priceless- a felling of contentment and being at peace but present with my surroundings.
The freedom i sought in intoxication crept up on me when i got sober!!

Hiya JanieJ, yes I've had the feeling of euphoria several times and, bear with me on this, felt like I'm gonna burst with happiness, but for me it didn't last, as Anna mentioned, I too had some stuff to deal with.
Keep grounded and enjoy the feeling. It's all part of your recovery.x
