"so how you quit hawks?"

It's called the "bulls horns" decision.

Both hurt... Just gotta decide which one you like the sound of most.

One horn says "alcoholic insanity and slow painful death"

Other horn says "take action and live"

I'd suggest a call to action might be a call to your local AA office... Get a 12th Step call happening.

Send up a prayer couldn't hurt. Even if you don't believe.... Just do it.

Desperate times need desperate measures.

And some one cares Hooped .... You got two recovered alcoholics caring for you right now.

Both of us are on a different continent.

Hands around the world... Ain't the internet a marvellous thing?

i really really want off this treadmill
i stared at the clock tonight watching the thing go....tick...tick..tick....
till closing time at liquor store...
i didn't go...major thumbs up for me.
kinda like what i used to do in the morning come to think of it.
in the mornings that was the heaviest sound on earth.
i made it ...tonight.

you know what the guys at the liquor store called it?

the sick parade

and quite often the morning and evening parade were the same people

im really not trying to glorify anything here....

im just happy i didnt go buy more booze tonight

gonna be a long night here

Curl up shiver and look at shadows..... Dude.... I dunno about you, but I'm thinking a phone call and asking for some help sounds like a far far better idea than a whole day of shivering, shaking and shadows.

Can you just trust me on this advice about the phone call?

From a guy who has been exactly in the same predicament.

I gotta go with Hawks on this one Hooped - 'tomorrow' is one of the worst words an alcoholic can utter.

Like I said earlier Hooped if every suggestion has some bad history with you...ok I'm sorry about that...

but you're gonna have to accept what you're doing is not working...you need some outside help here, you're gonna have to pick the least onerous option for you.

Hi hooped.

I remember in your last thread you mentioned the doc telling you that you had signs of liver damage. But that it wasn't too late to turn it round.

It still isnt too late. I know the pit of despair you are in right now man i know it very well. But you are worth more than this. You got some good advice on the phone there, I hope you make that appointment and can detox safely.

All the best
