19 days down...20 Here I come!

I have 19 days of sobriety. This is a new record for me.

If I have learned one thing in my walk on the path of sobriety its that it is a process. A process that has taken me longer than I thought / wanted.

I still have a ways to go, but for today I feel like doing a flying kick in the air! I know it sounds silly but hey that's how I feel, and it feels great.

Its full on fall here in the Midwest so I am going to reward myself with a hiking / camping trip this weekend to enjoy the leaves turning...sober.

I think a flying kick is definitely called for - 19 days is fabulous!

I love the sound of leaves turning sober

And I bet the fall there is just beautiful.

That's how I want to feel!!!!

Fall is a motivator for me too. I love this time of year and it would be nice to do it all without a hangover. i just gotta get my butt in gear.

Thanks everyone for the support. I have had many day ones since January 2014 and this is the longest streak yet. My goal is that the streak is endless.

For those of you who want to get sober or you keep having "day ones" over and over again, I am living proof that it is possible. I never thought I would get 19 days under my belt.

Onward I shall march (with a flying kick in the air)

Yaaay, autumn camping!

And yes, I hope that you are actually attempting that flying kick in the air. I hope that on your camping trip you devote some real attention to flying kicks, under the golden trees, through the meadow, all around your campsite.

What an awesome post. I am cracking up. If someone in the woods spotted me doing flying kicks in the air they would probably have me committed (or too scared to get close to me, ha-ha)
