Anything by Pink esp "so what" even tho she mentions drinking her money, its just an upbeat song talking about how she doesnt need her man...I think of it as I don't need my drink! lol
Eminem sober..lots of respect for the man. love his lyrics. I liked his stuff before he got sober but like his sober work even more.
My all time favorite mood enhancer and it drives everyone in my house nuts...Christmas songs. But they have to be sung by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Elvis, etc..the oldies. I have one of those NOW thats christmas CDs in my truck. And Harry Connick Jr can throw down some christmas songs too. The hippo christmas song and Im getting nuthing for christmas song..lol
Anything by Etta James.
Love classical music. I learned how to play the violin at 12 and never lost the love for the music.
I dig gregorian chants...benedictine monks chanting.. I have always found it soothing. Its like they are chanting my pain and I am understood. A friend from high school that I played the violin with in competitions and she also sang in the school choir, church choir and loved to sing opera had a mother that was a preacher..they got me into the chants. She was my first and Id have to say only cultured friend. Fond memories of a more simple life and honest sober friend. Her family was a big influence on me during those years.

How about Macklemore, Thrift shop. He is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict.
There is cussing for those of you that don't like to hear it.

Led Zeppelin - Thank You

If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.

Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.

Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by.
My love is strong, with you there is no wrong,
together we shall go until we die. My, my, my.
An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look... see.

And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one.
Happiness, no more be sad, happiness....I'm glad.
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.

Mine is "Let It Be" as well.

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" - both the song and the entire album - remind me of my Dad. One of his favorites, and on constant rotation on the turntable while I was growing up. Makes me smile and cry at the same time.
