Amber alert

Starting day 5, If I was getting more sleep I might not feel so bad. Last night went to sleep and really conked out, an hour later both my wife's phone and mine go off with some kind of alarm, it was an Amber alert. We go back to sleep and half an hour later they go off again! I almost thru my phone out the window, wife says shut it off. Could not go back to sleep the rest of night. Wouldn't be so bad except I'm so sleep deprived. Went into a good sleep twice. Would've been funny some other time. Well at least I'm not sick hung-over.

Only someone who's newly sober could become enraged by a missing child notification! I'm totally teasing you and can completely relate. We can get through this together...serenity now! I hope you get some sleep, finally.

I'm with you Zeppo. The alerts scared the crap out of my husband and I as well.
Am glad this morning that the boy has been found, but I definitely feel ya.
lets make it a great, sober Wednesday.

I slept so crappy early on, too. Wasn't just early Sobriety, but coming off all the pain meds from the hospital. I thought I'd never sleep again, used to lay in bed with my eyes closed for hours. FWIW, I believe it will pass for you, it just takes a little time. Really fight that urge to nap in the day, and for me fixing a nighttime routine and sticking to pretty close bedtime and get-up times helped alot.

My biggest tick is still my mind. Sometimes it just won't shut the **** up, lol. Family Guy seems to help...

The police send out alerts of missing children in your area.
