For some reason, every time I would get out of detox or treatment, I would almost immediately drink. Don't get it, but there's a lot of things I don't get. Maybe just a habit or a "I'll show you" attitude. Maybe just felt I deserved a break.
Anyway, I finally saw this pattern and, after finishing an intensive out patient program, I fought through that urge and, so far, am doing fine. Believe me, I know how hard that is, but getting on track can be done.
I'm certainly not promoting drinking after leaving treatment, but now that it's done, just move on. I've know many people that left treatment and just picked up where they left off, so you actually did better then them. One actually died soon after leaving treatment. Was a real nice guy.
Stay REAL BUSY. Be around positive people, and check out AA. Any chance for out-patient support? John

Hang in there! We are here for you. I've had that feeling after AA meetings...I felt more alone than when I went in!
