Made it through my birthday weekend! Yay!

Just a quick check in... I am proud to say I made it through my birthday weekend sober. I was out where there was beer, etc. although not with people who were partaking but I felt just fine... no urges. I kept super busy all weekend and got a lot done. Feels good. Yippee!

My birthday weekend is next weekend. I was originally a little freaked out on how can I celebrate a birthday without...getting drunk? After a couple weeks sober, I am really enjoying my time without alcohol. I do have plenty of distractions planned, but am certain that there will be no booze in me. Being sober has given me a sort of power. This will be the first birthday since I turned 19 that I will not be drinking. 20 years. wow.
