Thank you, 8 weeks
Thank you, 8 weeks
After a round of false starts,
I celebrate eight weeks, today.
I'd like to give thanks to everyone here,
for your endless support, positive advice and wisdom.
I've quit wrestling with the obsession of "not drinking".
Doing so only allows potential engagement with the AV.
Rather, I simply enjoy life, humbly and with gratitude.
I'm very alert and aware of things I've been oblivious to.
No pink cloud here folks, every day has it's low points and problems.
Now, I confront them head-on, without fear, rather than hide in a bottle.
Positive energy to all!

56 days. Were you in a coma? Good on ya mate. I want that. yes it gets worse if you pick up again. if you do it was because you Wouldn't ask the hurt that made you to abandon in the first place. Asking is just sometimes struggling through the day sober but frustrated. patience is part of recovery,
I'm right there with you too. I got my 8 weeks on Friday. Feels amazing, huh?! I love that this time I'm no longer obsessing about sobriety. Not trying to cure myself so that I can drink normally again. Embracing sobriety & enjoying all the perks (& even challenges) it brings me each day.
Great post!! Thank you for being here & sharing your journey. Honored to be walking this path with you.
