My skin hurts, anyone else have this?
I've wanted to ask this forever. When I come off a long stretch of drinking, my skin feels tender for days, mostly on my sides but this time all over. I figure it's from the swelling going down and my system trying to flush out the toxins, but it's weird. Anyone else ever had this?

Yes. Almost each time I stopped after a binge, especially on the 2nd day sober. I put it down to the nervous system (in this case the peripheral nerves) being hypersensitive after being released from the sedating effects of alcohol. If it does not go away with more sobriety or/and it bothers you, see a doctor for a more informed opinion.

I didn't think of that explanation. That makes sense. It always peaks on the 2nd day for me too and lasts about 4 days. Maybe longer this time since I was so loaded for so long, but we'll see. Thanks for sharing, I was thinking it was just me.
