Wow. 60 days.
Wow. 60 days.
Today is my 60-day soberversary. It's been a crazy rollercoaster of sadness, anger, anxiety, and brief moments of happiness. But I am happy to say that I am 8000% better than I was even 30 days ago, when I was still feeling like a newborn calf on wobbly legs.
Yesterday I went for a run, my first since I quit drinking. Last night my new puppy didn't have a single cat-induced barksplosion, and I woke up this morning feeling...GREAT. Rested, calm, clear. Of course, this could change at any freaking moment, but right now I'm happy that I'm happy.
So, for anyone out there who's new to sobriety and wondering if it ever gets better, I'm here to say it absolutely does. It just takes time.
