I made it

I made it through today by the skin of my teeth! hardly slept AT ALL last night, terrible insomnia! Felt somewhat ill today and just DRAINED and grumpy and narly! and I craved and craved and darn well CRAVED for about 6 whole hours! I rode it out I somewhat surfed it and here I am SOBER!

Sounds like im boasting I know but just wanted to share

That's not boasting at all. It's proof that it CAN be done.

Be proud of that. And remember it the next time you face a similar situation.

Chilledice,
Good for you, six hours is a long time to fight a craving. I am very impressed.

Great work Chill. Awhile back I went through a really hard week where cravings nagged at me for almost a solid week....

Getting through to the other side? When that craving and hard grind lifts? Man, that's huge cause for kudo's!! Not boasting at all..it's sharing a well earned victory that is deserving of heartfelt high fives. We get it. Thank you so much for sharing. And guess what you did..you gained some sobriety muscle!!! Nice work.

That is so awesome that you fought through it, friend.

I've had a few days of short cravings (like an hour) and a lot of days when a craving hits.

I'm like Nuu, a month ago I had a week that was difficult, but it wasn't all the time, just several times a day for that week. No reason, either. No particular stress or anything.

My sleep was all over the place for the first month. I ate a lot of sugar, too. Drank lots of herbal tea to try to quiet myself.

Well done! You can do this, ya know?

I just said to myself that no matter WHAT I don't drink! I cant let it destroy me ANYMORE!

Thanks for the encouragement
