Peace of mind

I was reading the stories in the back of the AA Big Book this morning. This piece of wisdom really stood out for me.

"I realised that the level of peace of mind I receive is in exact proportion to the effort I put into helping others achieve peace of mind."

When I was drinking I tended to look inward and focus on myself!!

But in Sobriety giving back to others is beneficial to both parties, myself included!!
