Reached two weeks since last binge

hello all

its been two weeks now since my last bad episode

I feel a lot better , although the insomnia has started to kick in

I'm also 9 days smoke free aswell and beginning to use my e lite electric fag less and less

what is bugging me is I've done no exercise I seem to be lacking the will power to pick up my kettlebells which I feel guilty about I need a rocket up my backside regarding this

but at least I haven't drank and I have had no desire to drink either, its my third AA meeting tonight which I'm going to

I really hope this strength I have atm lasts it will be great if I see one month in as its easily been months since I went for a whole month without hitting the drink , fair enough I only binge for the day but that's not the point I still drink I hope I can carry on feeling sober and remembering what I did the day before

hugs charlotte

Nice going, Charlotte. That "month" will be here before you know it - one day at a time and AA is a good plan.

Rooting for you, Charlotte.

one day at a time!
and don't worry about the exercise - it's still early days. I didn't pick my kettleballs up for almost 6 weeks after I stopped drinking. And even then, I didn't go overboard.
Be gentle.
Just focus on not drinking, the rest will follow when you're ready

Yay, Charlotte! Good for you! I keep telling myself that sobriety is first, and when I have that stabilized (I don't yet) I'll get back to exercising...the proverbial "tomorrow," if you will. You're doing such a great job with your sobriety. Keep it up!

Way to go Charlotte. I spent my first couple of weeks drinking coffee and eating Haribo by the (family size) packet. I say whatever gets you through that first bit and the rest will take care of itself

I find that we really put a lot of pressure on ourselves in early days. The expectation level runs super high and we really just need to slow it down and focus on just not drinking and letting our body/mind/soul re-adjust.
After months/years of abuse - the body can wait a wee longer for working out
