Hi Rainbowflyer
I'm Rowan, alcoholic. Congratulations on your 16 days! Doesn't it feel terrific?
A word of caution; please don't mistake your new friend for your Higher Power.
Do you attend AA or NA meetings? I couldn't survive without them. Getting involved
with someone while still so new in recovery can be detrimental to your recovery. Take it from one who knows. Please keep posting in here and let us know how you are doing. I'm glad you're here. Keep coming back.

Well done Mel!
And it only gets better and brighter.
When you start tasting the true Freedom like you are now,
It's real hard to postpone recovery one more day.
Awesome!

Thank you everyone who is giving me words of encouragement.....It is a constant battle everytime I get in the morning to tell myself to stay clean but when I lay my head in bed at night I know that I have done it and I am getting stronger..it may be a battle but it is one I am going to win,,,,no matter what it takes this is one fight that I will not give up on....Everyday I am not sure what is going to happen but everyday that becomes more and more okay...I love you guys and thank you

HI Rain...

Good going on 16!! I'm 7 days straight and it does feel good doesn't it. Each morning is a new chance to make the right choices! Keep a level head, try to eat healthy so your blood sugar doesn't give you mood swings...you will make it. Try an AA meeting...I think is is so nice to be supported by a friend! Keep on keepin' on!

Rainbow, Carriesue,

Way to go on your days sober. Carrie you are so right about your blood sugar. I am winding down day 24 and I still have trouble from time to time with my blood sugar if I do not make sure I eat right. That was a trigger of mine when I would get that icky low blood sugar feeling, so I do my best to eat better and more healthy.

YOu both are doing great and by day 8 and 16 respectively should really start to feel lots better and even more clear headed, and it gets better. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight.
