now that you are sober do you enjoy...

quiet?, peace and quiet?
When drinking , I would be talking (never listening!)
Quiet was boring, had to be "something exciting" going on

Suddenly, Im just into QUIET!
Here it is Saturday night and Im here on SR - house is Quiet. And I love it!
Ive also found interest in books - again

Just me????

Yes I love it

I have rediscovered my love of books and I am actually finishing them - not just reading one chapter over and over. Or I used to drink and watch episodes of TV shows over and over.

I have also started writing again and I can actually read my handwriting the next day

I enjoy the quiet inside my head very much. When I was drinking or hungover, there was almost always too much madness and "noise" in there.
And yeah remembering the books I read is a big plus!
