Day 6, Holding Steady
Saturday, watching FLSTATE football, made a big pot of Chili and hanging out with my kids. I have been taking care of myself, being a little selfish and not doing too much more then my comfort zone is willing. Have heard a lot of "It gets better as time goes on." hope they are right! The early time is tough and that voice is a bitch. I just really want this. Come to find out I like being sober.
I woke up first thing today, hangover free and made breakfast for the family. I trimmed back some shrubs, scrubbed off the front patio and cleaned all the windows in the front of the house. That was before 9am. Showered and off to the grocery store to load up for the week. We just had a cold front push through Florida, the sky is BEAUTIFUL and the fall feeling is starting to arrive. So excited I am waking up early tomorrow to take the family to Magic Kingdom. Figured this trip will be sponsored by the liquor store that I did not spend any money at last week.
Best I can figure, there is no good reason to ever drink alcohol again. Just have to keep up the fight until that AV finds something better to do!!!
