It's not a heirarchy

But alcoholism is progressive and I believe we see almost the full range of that progression here on SR...

To answer your question - Yes there are different levels of alcoholism.

To elaborate on the "yet" well that could easily be applied to anything and anybody, anytime.

I have a problem with alcohol, did, do, whatever - Point is not everything that happened to someone else will happen to me, or you, or someone else.
