I have never been a part of a 'sober community'...
Hello everyone.
I am a recovering oxycodone addict, and today I will be 45 days sober.
I have never sought any serious help, I think primarily because coming to terms with being an addict was a very difficult thing for me to admit to myself.
But I need help, every day it seems to get harder to resist temptation, but I was up to 3,000mgs of oxycodone every two days... And I'm 19 years old.
I am desperately in need of a sense of community, and to familiarize myself with others who are going through the same thing. Nobody in my life has ever been addicted to a substance.
Anyways, that's my brief background, and please do let me know if this is not the proper place for an introductory thread.
But I just wanted to say that I am very pleased to be here, and it is nice to meet you all.
