No hangover!
Yeah, I loved the clear headed mornings. Hold on to that memory when you feel like drinking at 2.30.
Try to anticipate the craving by having a full stomach, and diverting yourself with some activity. At least if you know it's coming you can plan for it.

Great suggestion....going to grab a protein shake at lunch and save it for mid afternoon. I've noticed that for me hunger and desire to drink are related...but if I start with beer, the food often doesn't happen! Thanks for taking the time to help.

I now bring myself a shake, brazil nuts (very filling) and 2-3 fruits... that I eat in my car (because I work from 5am to 3pm or so) and that was my very first strategic move not to drink.... because I use to be so hungry, I would stop somewhere to get a couple of cans of beer to start the evening on a ''good'' mood!!
Congrats on your plan! You're heading for a great start!

Thanks so much for the replies. Am feeling a little anxious as weekend looms. I like to get up early to go to gym. On the way home I generally pick up my beloved first Saturday sixpack. I don't like to skip workouts, but don't know how tempted I will be. Think I may take only my license and leave wallet at home. Again, thanks for taking time to encourage me. Don't know how long it's been since I didn't go to bed drunk on a Saturday.
