first AA went well

Hi people

Well I went to AA and feel alot calmer two women gave me there numbers and I'm going to the second meeting on Friday

The group was upbeat, one person was drunk but hey at least he is trying and I could relate to alot of what folks said

So hears to day 7 tomorrow feel better and no compulsion to drink

Thankyou all of you who read my posts and offer your advise

Hey Mavis,

Glad to hear you had a good meeting. I went to my first on Monday and going to another one tonight. I find they really help me stay sober and accountable. Have a good day!

That's cool. I admire you so much for having the courage to go. I also love that you mentioned that there was a drunk person there. It's been mentioned before and it shows the varying degrees of people in recovery.

Congrats Charlotte... Hardest part is walking thru that door of your first meeting! The fact that you can relate to the stories means it's a great place for you... I felt the same way, I could hear the same "drunk logic" I used in all the shares
