Worried
This is incredible. As you know, the very first case of Ebola (besides the doctors who were treating people over there) has been discovered in Dallas where I live. My neighbors across the alley are from Liberia (where this person's infection originated). They travel frequently back and forth. I don't know if the person who is infected is part of that family (Dallas is a huge city) but it gives me pause. The CDC says now that it can be spread by shaking hands with someone who has it because everyone has small openings in their hands (you can't even see them) through which you can receive the virus.
This is damn scary!!

Ebola is scary stuff; I hadn't heard that it could be transmitted by hand-shaking; I thought that skin was fairly impervious. Now, hand to mouth, that would seem likely to me.
Oh dear. This was just a matter of time.

I certainly don't blame you for being worried but I was reading something that seems pretty calming, non tabloid and responsible to me

Its all over the news here. They are saying they have find every person this person came in contact with. He was back from Liberia for 7 days before he went in the hospital. How can they find everyone he came in contact with?? Unreal.

Ebola is horrible and scary, but contracting the virus in the first world , like in Dallas, would be the best possible scenario. Outside of West Africa it seems extremely hard to 'catch'.
Not that I wouldn't push the annual Friends of Liberia luncheon off a little, but I would feel safe going about my business

Ebola is transmitted through close personal contact with fluids and blood, and handling dead bodies without precautions.
If you see someone bleeding from the eyes, stay away from them.
Otherwise, I wouldn't get too worked up about it. Lets all take a deep breath! lol

No, but honestly, when Sanjay Gupta announces that you can transmit this thru a handshake right there in front of god and everyone... it does give me reason to
