Day 1.5 extremely tired

I am struggling mightily today with fatigue. Is this a common feature in early recovery?

I think I will take a nap ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

ScottFromWI 09-30-2014 12:31 PM

Yep, very common. Try and get as much rest/sleep as you can, your body is adjusting and healing.

The body can't wipe away years of drinking in a few days, it's gonna take time, and it's gonna be tough in the first few weeks!!

Hang in there, give the body what it needs, sleep, fluids, nutrition, it's a fantastic machine, but it can't work miracles overnight!! :)

I was dragging a** for probably the first week. Took so many hard-core naps! I felt like a kindergartener, except way taller.

LOL Briseis! Me too, I am still tired at 13 days. I'm sure I could sleep 14 hours a night if I had the chance.

Soberwolf 09-30-2014 12:38 PM

Yes V.common

ArtFriend 09-30-2014 12:42 PM

Well, in that case, I am gonna take a snooze. CU Later!

Briseis 09-30-2014 12:44 PM

Sweet snoozies, ArtFriend :)

Fatigue is so normal. Get plenty of rest; be kind and gentle to yourself.

anattaboy 09-30-2014 12:54 PM

I found myself ready for bed at 7:30pm for the first month or so. I ate all the time the first coupla weeks. Normal for me I guess. Keep your head up! This will pass. You're doing it!
