New, confused, hurting, anxious
Someone will be here all night. Let us know when you're ready to talk.
Take comfort that we've all started from where you're at. We understand & have lived your life. Nothing you say will shock us and you will not be judged or admonished. We're here to help because others helped us.
Welcome to the best decision you ever made.

Welcome Iwillnotfall
we've all been there and we all understand
If posting on the open board is too daunting, why not check out our Class of September recovery thread for everyone quitting this month?

Same support, less people

Hi and welcome, I second what Heartafire said. There is always someone here to talk to or listen. We come from all around the world so we cover all time zones and there really is never a moment that you are alone.
Alcohol will do nothing to help you. It will only exacerbate how you are feeling now. The best decision you can make is to never drink another drop again.
We are all here, right beside you, for the very same reason.

Welcome to SR, Iwillnotfall! It's good to have you with us. Feel free to read the posts and just hang out. When you feel comfortable tell us your story. Those of us here have been in beaten down and broken by alcohol before and know how it feels to grapple with booze.

Welcome. These feelings you describe are common feelings among us. We understand. No judgments. I am newly sober and I am here a lot if you want to talk. The most important thing to know as others have said is you are not alone. Hugs.
