Sheri, I carry extreme guilt and shame for attacking my brother in a black-out. I woke up in a cell the next day.

This seems to be the first time I have ever had a blackout. My husband and step daughter (adult) have told me of conversations that took place that I have no memory of what so ever. They said I was shoving him and hitting him and I don't remember that either. This has ever happened to me before. I've always been "the last one standing" . I feel awful about what they've told me. I've never been in trouble with law enforcement either, but apparently I was an ass with them, too, which is what led to me being in hand cuffs. <sigh>

Oh boy I've been there too. Almost jumped out of a car onto the highway fighting with my spouse. Don't remember anything.

So scary, but we're here to help )

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support. This is going to be tough. Even more tough is that my spouse is an alcoholic...and he does NOT want help...and does NOT feel he has a problem, though he drives severely impaired when others would be passed out. At least I have sense enough to stay home when I am drinking. That was the first step in the right direction....I gave up going to the pubs and decided to stay home.

Sheri, this is great news. I'm sorry your husband won't get help, but you're doing the right thing. Lots of hugs and support.
