Day 2

The morning after the morning after. I can't say I feel wonderful, hut managed to peel myself out of bed when my alarm went off which is a start. Got to try and keep focused and busy now and keep the gremlins/AV quiet!

Hang in there. It takes a few days but you will feel better physically soon.

Rooting for you as always, James :bigok: Never give up giving up, my friend. You deserve the freedom of sobriety

Thanks everybody. I'm taking it one step at a time this time, with no grand gestures, no huge plans, no other life changing decisions, just one day at a time without booze. It's a big enough fight on its own. That's a mistake I made before.

Bring on Day 3!

Soberwolf 09-28-2014 02:13 PM

well done james

Indeed, it is a big enough fight on it's own. I think for me just finding ways to keep busy will help. As long as I don't have a drink I'm going to be fine. But seeing I'm only on day 1, I'm really worried that this guilt, shame and anxiety I'm feeling will subside and I'll justify having a beer.
