Day 6 - update (wont be here as much)
Day 5 yesterday I had FOUR major customer problems!! (I usually have "maybe" 1 a month.
I did think about the drink after work.....because of that,
I forced my A$$ out the door for a long walk , ate dinner, crashed for the night and woke sober!
Today was a great day!
I wont be here too much (for now anyway) - as much as I like all this site has to offer, Im finding that being here just keeps Alcohol issues in my face and therefore on my mind.
I do better just to read or walk whatever.
SO, NOT goodbye, but during this season of my journey- a lot less time spent here....
Thanks to all ....!!!

The site had some issues over the last few days so it may have not been problems from your end
Your call, but when I quit, alcohol (and thoughts of it) was in my face away - I found it much better to be here - with support...than out there without any?

Problem customers lol they are so annoying arrrrrghh i relate on that !!
in my early sobriety under a month i felt like you why are they constantly talking about alcohol issues what its done etc
then the penny dropped
can i ask not in a bad way...what topics did you expect on a site called sober recovery ?
also if your shy/dont want to talk about it yet etc there are loads of sections away from talking about things
the wordgames, cafe central this site has it all
hope you stick around like D said better to be with ppl who understand exactly what your going through rather than getting stressed alone with problematic customers

livingnow,
what you're talking about happened to me art the beginning when i went to a weekly meeting. the hour-long focus on alcohol/drinking/not drinking/addiction/alcoholism/recovery/tools/you-name-it quite often "triggered" an urge.
but so what, i thought. better to learn to deal with that, cause it's bound to happen.
and my daily forum participation was a great place to talk about that and other stuff.
just know people are here anytime.
i drank for decades, and my quitting (several years now) was filled with tons of participating and a hungry immersion in any book i could find that had people's stor=ies and experiences about the many different ways they did it and the tools that worked for them.
best to you.
